Life with Keppra

*

Toller is so excited for Christmas and a break from school.  I think Magnolia is also excited. I realize she doesn't know it is Christmas, but she is fully aware it is winter break. She is so happy! Toller just walks into the room and she starts laughing. She is thrilled to have him home all day. She was so excited today she would not take a nap.

She has been adjusting to the Keppra. The first week after her seizure she could barely keep her eyes open. I was hoping she was just recovering from the seizure and getting adjusted to the medicine. I did not want it to be the medicine that was making her so tired. This week has been much better, so I am hoping her body is recovered and adjusted to the medicine.

We are leaving town for a couple of days and I will not lie, I am terrified. We live so close to the hospital here and have our team of doctors that knows Magnolia, leaving town is scary!

I hope everyone has Happy and Safe Holidays!

Magnolia will occasionally hold her own bottle for a little bit. If you put her hands where they need to be.

All smiles with Toller

No hair, No problem! Thankful for cute hats!

  1. I have just now caught up on your blog. I am so sorry that Magnolia and you all had to deal with seizures and a hospital stay. I pray that the keppra will keep those seizures away. I love all the pictures of her smiling and holding her foot. She is simply adorable and obviously loves her big brother - I love the sibling love! Have a very Merry Christmas! XOXO

  2. The Keppra will do the job, mom. Leaving town will give Magnolia great new experiences, which is awesome!
I love how well she's holding her bottle, she needs to come to our house and teach Denise, who even at 3, would not hold her bottle. Silly girl. Or silly mom, who wants a bottle at 3?!
Merry Christmas, dear friend. Enjoy your time away, no worries allowed :)

  3. I've been dying to know how your trip went! I'm guessing it was as amazing as you though. Also wondering how she's doing with the Keppra. She is so beautiful. xoxo
